Software Requirements
The eCom Engine is written in ASP 3.0, and is recommended to run on a
Windows server with IIS 6.0 or higher. It is not guaranteed to run under
any other web server operating systems, such as with Linux or Unix. An
SSL certificate (shared on private) installed on the web server is required
for secure checkout and admin features. The eCom Engine requires a SQL
Server 2000 or higher database backend to store product, category and
order information.

- Persits AspJpeg, or ServerObjects ASPImage, server component (for

Online Credit Card Processing
Currently the eCom Engine is built to support Verisign's PayFlow Pro API
for online credit card transactions. We may support other vendors in the
future, but since a great majority of companies trust Verisign with their
business, it was our first choice as well.
Website Integration
The eCom Engine website components can be integrated into almost any new or existing
website. The only requirements are those listed above, in essence that
it needs to be on a Windows / .ASP capable server to run. The rest of
your website's static pages can be in simple HTML or other formats.
