Licensing Options
The eCom Engine can be purchased by itself as a license, or together with
a work-order where the design and implementation is done by CODA Studios.
Lastly, you could purchase the eCom Engine outright if you are a developer
and would like to make your own modifications.
We will explain the three options in more detail below:
License. When licensed, you would be purchasing
the right to use the eCom Engine on your site, and we would send out
a CD with all the required display components, include files and database
scripts you'd need to create it. You would be responsible for implementing
them in a working fashion into your site however. Although we have
tried to make the eCom Engine as easy as possible to install, configure,
and and run, it does require some knowledge of web development and
design to implement. To help with questions you may have during the
first month of your license, we have included a technical support
agreement for your added benefit. Please note that the technical support
does not include actual work on your site, only phone and email support.
License and Integration. If you would like us to
create your e-Commerce site, or integrate the eCom Engine into an
existing website, we'll be happy to help you as well. For smaller
companies that does not have the expertise or staff on hand to handle
the eCom Engine integration themselves, this would be the best option.
Our certified web developers will work with you to make the most of
the eCom Engine on your particular site, and handle all the technical
details in implementing it successfully. If your current web hosting
company does not offer SSL or SQL database support, this is something
we can accomodate as well through our affordable hosting partner.
We want to see your website as successful as you do, and with our
eCom Engine we can help you make it happen. We'll even give you a
percentage off your annual rate!
Purchase Outright. The third option is to purchase
the eCom Engine outright. Purchasing it outright allows you to make
modifications to the internal code for your own use. A modified (or
un-modified) eCom Engine is NOT allowed to be resold in any shape
or form. By purchasing it outright you won't have any annual renewal
fees, and you get free upgrades for life. We are not responsible for
any modifications you have done to the internal code that may not
be working in a newer version of the eCom Engine.
Prices
There are a few different licensing options available, depending on your
preference. The eCom Engine is generally an annual license, which includes
free version upgrades and discounted technical support during the term
of your license. When no longer under license, we'd require you renew
your license to obtain technical support or the current version of the
eCom Engine. The eCom Engine can also be purchased outright if so desired
